Messier 5, or NGC 5904, is a globular cluster located in Serpens, which lies at a distance of about 24'500 light years from Earth.
Spanning 165 l.y. in diameter, it counts more than 100'000 stars, and with an estimated age of 13 billion years, it's one of the older globulars. |
