IC 443 is the remains of a supernova supposed to be occurred 3000 to 30000 years ago in Gemini. At an estimate distance of 5000 ly, the shell should span for 70 ly. In the top center of the image there's IC444, a small reflection nebula surrounding the star 12Gem. |
