IC5146 is a reflection/emission cloud in Cygnus, 3300 ly far from Earth. It consists of a young stars cluster surrounded by bright and dark nebulae. The dark area around IC5146 and the dust lane forming a tail on the right is another object of Barnard's catalog called B168. |
